Rondebosch Golf Club’s 18-hole course is considered a ‘must-play’ Cape Town course amongst golfers. Situated only ten minutes from Cape Town’s city center, with magnificent views of Devil’s Peak and Table Mountain, the course is a popular choice for local and foreign visitors.
Since its establishment in 1911, the club has built a solid tradition, which is upheld by its loyal membership. The even balance of members and visitors makes for a welcoming, warm & friendly environment. Bar and Bistro offerings provide superb value; take a turn out of the afternoon traffic and join us on the upstairs deck for a beer and a pizza while the sun sets – the view is very special. Careful management has ensured that the course maintains its excellent condition all year round. Rondebosch Golf Course is a challenge to the serious golfer but is also accessible to the less experienced player.
It is a glaring oversight that Rondebosch is omitted from the Top 100 Courses.
John Deere P3 Challenge 2019
Rondebosch Golf Club in partnership with The Skills Factory and The Country Club Johannesburg are proud to announce the John Deere P3 Challenge 2019. A shortened format of the game we all love and are so passionate about. A 9 Hole Par 3 series (BetterBall format) which runs over the course of the year. Great fun, good camaraderie, networking opportunities, client entertainment opportunities await every month with a national final to top it all off!
Rondebosch is more than a golf course. It is a well-stocked Proshop; it is a bistro with beautiful views; it is a venue for functions; it is a buzzy breakfast or coffee spot with free WiFi. Pop in for a coffee and we’ll show you around. Our facilities are open to the public.
Our membership rates are affordable. We offer a variety of membership packages to suit your circumstances and your leisure time availability for golf. Members’ competitions are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays each week.
In 1994, a river widening project enabled the course to be completely redesigned and restored to its former status as a superb championship rated golf course.
Rondebosch has hosted seven consecutive Sunshine Tour events, two professional Ladies European Tour events and the South African Ladies Amateur Open. The canal river, which winds through the course, provides challenges to the players and is home to a variety of bird life; from cormorants and kingfishers to wild ducks and flamingos.
Next time you are in Cape Town, join us for a game!
